Miguel Angel Tarango

Miguel Angel Tarango has an incredibly diverse academic background. He earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, both from the University of Texas at El Paso. His master's investigation combined the disciplines of Art History, Anthropology and Design in his investigation of the central Mexican site of Xochicalco.

He also managed to include a rigorous course of study in Film History and Experimental Film Prodution – with the famed artist Willie Varela – during his graduate experience in El Paso.

In an attempt to synthesize this diverse background into one expressive voice, Miguel chose to pursue an MFA in electronic media art & design at the University of Denver, which he completed in 2005.
